Achyuthananda B
Achyuthanand B. is a Davangere-based visual artist whose creative path is deeply rooted in his family lineage. Born to the late Sri B. Hanumantacharya, a respected artist and teacher, and the late Smt. Shakuntalamma, he grew up surrounded by artistic expression. His childhood was shaped by the sights of large clay Ganesh idols, wooden deity sculptures, POP works, and the rich world of drawings, oil paintings, and watercolors created by his father. These early impressions cultivated in him a natural love for art, and as he matured, he devoted himself fully to mastering the craft. Alongside his visual artistry, he also inherited his father’s passion for music and continues to practice Hindustani music with dedication.
He pursued his formal art education in Davangere, completing his Diploma in Applied Arts (D.A.A.) in 1995 with second rank in the college — an early recognition of his discipline and skill. With ambition and curiosity driving him forward, he moved to Mumbai to begin his professional journey, taking up a role as an artist in an advertising agency. This phase exposed him to the fast-moving world of visual communication and sharpened his creative versatility.
Seeking new challenges, Achyuthanand later relocated to Pune, where he advanced into a leadership role as the head of the creative department in an advertising agency. Over four years, he supervised conceptual design, developed visual strategies, and guided teams — gaining both managerial strength and deeper artistic refinement. During this period, he continued to explore multiple mediums, creating works in watercolor, acrylic, oil, and sculpture, while strengthening his foundation in applied arts.
Currently serving as an art teacher, he balances education with his personal practice, creating portraits, realistic artworks, and nature-inspired pieces across diverse media. His participation in numerous art camps reflects his commitment to learning, sharing, and evolving within the artistic community. Blending inherited tradition with contemporary experience, Achyuthanand stands as an artist who carries forward his father’s creative legacy while cultivating his own distinct identity in the world of visual arts.
